MWC Partners Integrate Planet and Cegid Retail Y2 POS

MWC Partners have developed two new payment connectors for Planet, the global integrated payments leader. The connectors integrate Planet’s payment software with Cegid Retail Y2 POS.

Planet has a rich heritage in payment services, providing businesses in Retail, Hospitality, Food & Beverage and Parking sectors with fast and secure methods to process payments in person or online.

Planet approached MWC Partners, Cegid’s leading payment integration partner, in December 2020 to build a new payment connector to integrate the company’s cloud-based payment software with Cegid Retail Y2 POS to run wireless Pin Entry Devices (PEDs) in retail stores.

With an existing Cegid customer waiting to roll-out the new solution, both speed and quality of development were key. Work began in January 2021 to develop the two payment connectors. MWC Partners delivered both connectors in March, on time and within budget, ready for user acceptance testing and a planned go live date of next month.
